Daymark
Internationally acclaimed trio Daymark brings together the talent of of established music industry veterans Will Woodson (flute, uilleann pipes), Dan Foster (fiddle) and Eric McDonald (guitar, vocals) to perform their own brand of traditional Irish music. Infused with infectious energy and Northern swagger, Daymark's music is versatile; intimate enough feel at home down at the local pub, but big enough to fill a festival stage or a concert hall.
Daymark formed one Winter night in 2016 at Vermont's Northern Roots Festival. Over the course of a long night of music, the group discovered a natural, complementary fit of individual styles, as a well as a mutual interest in Irish tradition. In Daymark’s sound, one can hear the echoes of Irish-American dance halls from the 1920s and 30s alongside the lonesome tones of Donegal country fiddlers and the rollicking smoky pubs of Northern England’s immigrant neighborhoods. It’s a sound that’s urgent and wild, held together by camaraderie that’s quite audible. Daymark released their debut, self-titled E.P. in 2018 with the support of Nine Athens Music. Listen to it here!
