Matt Minigell
Matt Minigell is a Boston, Massachusetts-based songwriter, musician, and busker. His highly emotional brand of folk music, whispery, fingerpicked playing style, and emphasis on lyrics have have often drawn comparisons to artists such as Elliott Smith, Bright Eyes, Ryan Adams, and Nick Drake.
Matt tours regularly throughout North America under the sponsorship of Nine Athens Music, and can frequently be found busking in the subways of Boston and Cambridge. In October, Matt completed Pipe Dreaming (his second record with Nine Athens Music - the followup to 2017's Guts: Songs From a Lost Winter). The album features the work of veteran bass player Jesse Williams (Al Kooper, Jimmy Vivino, John Hammond), as well as Sam Margolis and Greg Moon (Comanchero), and Boston singer/songwriter Via Perkins.
